The interface trend for flat design is replaced by a desire for physicality and volume. One of the brightest representatives of this direction was glassmorphism — a style that mimics panels made of frosted glass.
The glass effect is created using background blur (backdrop-filter: blur), semi-transparent backgrounds, and thin glowing borders. This creates the illusion of a multi-layered interface space.
Rules of Premium Glassmorphism
For the interface to look expensive and stylish, it is necessary to maintain a balance:
- Blur moderation: Too much blur makes elements look dirty, too little deprives them of volume. The optimal value is from 8px to 20px.
- Contrast borders: A thin border (1px) with high transparency mimics a glass bevel and separates the card from the background.
- Light gradients: Placing bright neon glows behind glass panels creates amazing depth and futuristic contrast.
Glassmorphism is ideal for promo sites, portfolios, and premium control panels, emphasizing the brand's technological nature.
